En 1896 nació mirando a la maestranza Manuel García 

López, "Maera" una de las grandes figuras del toreo sevillano.

 

Murió por enfermedad en 1924 cuando mayor era su éxito 

artístico. En Triana dejó el recuerdo de su alegría y de su 

gloria taurina.

In 1896 Manuel García López "Maera" was born looking 

directly at the Maestranza bullfighting ring, one of the great 

figures of Seville bullfighting.

 

He died of a disease in 1924, at the highest peak of his 

artistic triumph. In Triana he left the memory of his joy and his 

tauromachy glory.
