PLACA DEL ARQUILLO

DE LA CALLE PEDRO RAMOS LAGARES

H    Castilla, entre el 24 y el 26

 

 

ESPAÑOL

En el año 1832. Reinando nuestro amado monarca el 

Señor Fernando VII que Dios guarde. Ha sido construido 

este hermoso arco con su reja por acuerdo de este 

Ayuntamiento, costeado de los fondos propios, y siendo su 

dignísimo presidente el excmo SR. D. José de Arjona 

Asistente en comisión de este muy Ilustre, muy noble y 

muy heroica ciudad de Sevilla.. y con la intervención de los 

señores D. Cayetano Ruiz del Hoyo Alcalde Mayor, y 

veinticuatro preheminente D. Felipe Gutiérrez diputado 

segundo de comisiones. D. Miguel Bandaran Caballero 

Jurado y bajo la dirección del arquitecto mayor D. Melchor 

Cano cuya obra se realizó el 17 de julio del expresado año.

ENGLISH

In the year of 1832 our beloved monarch Lord Fernando VII 

reined, God save him. This beautiful arch was built with its 

grate by agreement of this Town Hall, financed from own 

funds, under the honorable president Don José de Arjona, 

assistant for the Commission of this most illustrious, very 

noble and highly heroic city of Seville, and with the 

intervention of Messrs.: Don Cayetano Ruiz del Hoyo Mayor, 

and the 24th preeminent Don Felipe Gutiérrez, second 

deputy  of commissions, Don Miguel Bandaran Caballero 

Jurado, and under the direction of the chief architect Don 

Melchor Cano, whose work was completed on the 17th of 

July of aforementioned year.
